Happy New Year!?

Osaka City University will celebrate its 140^th anniversary, this year 2020.
“The Osaka Commercial Training Institute” was established in 1880 with Tomoatsu Godai as its leader. In 1928 Osaka University of Commerce was founded as the first municipal university in Japan by Osaka City's seventh mayor, Dr. Hajime Seki, with the philosophy of "universities are with cities, cities are with universities".
We value this 140 year-long history, full of traditions going back to our foundation, and under the slogan "history, tradition x appreciation, pride, innovation, leap", we are planning various projects to celebrate this anniversary.
