Academic Extension Center
The Academic Extension Center was established in 1982 as part of centennial celebrations of the founding of Osaka City University in 1882.
The Academic Extension Center aims to develop the following activities:
- To promote the dissemination of OCU intellectual resources to the residents of Osaka and enhance exchange between OCU and the local community
- To return fruits of academic research to society
- To contribute to academic and cultural promotions
Taking advantage of its convenient location and proximity to downtown Osaka, the Center hosts a variety of open lectures, symposia, seminars and meetings throughout the year.
The Academic Extension Center is part of OCU Umeda Satellite, where the Graduate School of Creative Cities is also located.
